Dammam-based home services startup Munjz that had raised $1 million in a Pre-Series A round earlier this year has launched an online marketplace ‘Munjz Souq’ for home appliances.
The marketplace is available within the mobile app of Munjz and allows its users to order home appliances including air conditioners, washing machines, and even electrical and sanitary products, from a pool of curated and authorized sellers.
Munjz has been offering home and office maintenance services including cleaning, plumbing, painting, and electrical works, across different cities in the Kingdom. As it also provides installation services for home appliances and sanitary ware, launching the marketplace to sell these products makes a lot of sense.
All the products that are being sold through Munjz’s marketplace come with delivery and installation, its co-founder and CEO Abdullah Aldaij told MENAbytes, “We are providing the product with its delivery and installation in one easy step at a competitive price and express delivery of two days.”
He also explained that they launched the marketplace to help customers overcome the challenge of going through a long and to some extent frustrating process of ordering these appliances and then finding technicians to install them.
Even though some of the brands offer installation services when you make a purchase, Munjz thinks that there’s a large segment in the market that doesn’t do that and with its app, the consumers now have a choice to complete purchase and installation of the product at their home or office with a few taps.
Munjz is available across 14 cities in the Kingdom but Souq Munjz, for now, has been launched only in Eastern Province with plans to exapnd it to other cities in the next few months.
