“This year we are pushing the boundaries even further, last year we exponentially exceeded our target of achieving double digit growth. We achieved a triple figure growth in terms of sales between 2013 and 2014 in the MEA region. I am confident that the HTC One M9 will take us to record breaking heights in terms of sales in 2015 and beyond.” Ramit Harisinghani Head of Sales, HTC Middle and Africa.
Hands on impressions
You’d easily notice the M8 and M9 have a similar chassis and I wouldn’t blame you for being fooled if you think it were the case. While it certainly does feel premium, it may come across to some HTC veteran users as a shinier version of the m8, the guts of the phone however have been vastly improved. The camera isn’t as bad as you’d think either, with moving the ultrapixel camera to the front face, it means you can get some selfies in dark places. We tested the HTC one’s panorama and it certainly did pretty well at tracking especially in a low light situation. HTC Sense 7 too has become more intuitive. Personally, I’m waiting for HTC to release the M9 Max and mini models to see where they go with this, a m9 phablet certainly would be a welcome addition to the range.
The HTC One M9 will be available with a range of accessories that are unique and customisable, including the second generation HTC Dot View case which adds a host of new features and colour options. The HTC One M9 will be available in dual-tone silver and rose gold, single-tone gunmetal grey, single-tone gold and dual-tone gold and pink, retailing at AED2,749 from the end of March in all major UAE operators and retailers. Rose gold with be an exclusive color scheme in the region.
