The Android operating system offers some great functionality in terms of media consumption. The seamless integration of Google Photos and its tie-up with the camera app on your Android device makes it very easy to control how you save, edit, and even share your photos and videos.
Sometimes, we end up deleting photos from the Google Photos, but then the need arises to revisit the photo in which case, the delete operation has to be undone. In the past, there was no way to recover a photo that was deleted, making things very difficult in the long run. However, the new Google Photos app allows you to restore deleted photos from within the app within 60 days of deletion. This means you can recover pictured that you had deleted 2 months back.
In this tutorial, we will show you how to recover deleted photos on Android.
Step 1. Open the Google Photos app on your android smartphone.
Step 2. On the home page, tap on the ‘Trash‘ option.
Step 3. From the images, you see in the trash, long press on the photo you want to recover.
Step 4. Tap on the ‘Restore‘ option from the bottom menu.
The photo/photos that you selected will now be restored back to the albums where they were initially located before they were deleted. Once again, do keep in mind that you can only restore the photos that have been deleted within the last two months. Anything older than that will be deleted permanently.
